Board of Media Broadcasting
The Board Of Media Broadcasting is the governing body for University Radio Hilo, Vulcan Vision (television) and the Internet. The BOMB establishes the radio station’s budget, hires and manages station staff, and creates station policy. The Board is made up of:
5 students (UHH, HawCC) Up to 2 staff/faculty members (To serve as the voice of the University) Up to 5 community members (A connection to the community we serve) The URH General Manager is also a observing member.
We are always looking for energetic and dedicated people to fill up the BOMB. If you are interested, please contact the BOMB Chair!
The BOMB usually meets every week in our office, HawCC’s Hale Aloha building room 102. Unless otherwise specified, the meetings are open to the public.

Levi Leatherberry
The Chairperson does it all. He is the spokesman for the organization, runs meetings, delegates duties, and keeps time lines.
Levi is a Political Science Major at UH-Hilo, and has a past in organizations of all kinds, with most of his experience stemming from direct action in communities abroad. Educated from Austria to Kuwait to the Himalaya’s in Nepal. Landing finally in Hilo, Levi has really found his calling leading us towards solidarity in media and a more strongly voiced and visible student community.
Levi has an “open door” policy- feel free to contact him via email or URH office phone with any concerns, questions or comments.

The Vice Chair attends meetings, helps make policy changes, accounts for staff office hours, and fills in for the Chair when the responsibilities are delegated by request of the Chair.
This is Steve’s first semester on the BOMB. He represents the UHH student population as a UHH rep, and makes an great Vice Chair!

This is Ben’s first semester as a member of BOMB. He’s dedicated and shows diligent fiscal responsibility. He sees his role as vital to servicing the students need of getting their money’s worth.

Benedict is an international student from Yap, an is also a new member to BOMB, and has showed initiative and interest in the long term operations of BOMB. He applies organization and archives to allow BOMB to move forward.

BOMB Community Member Kekoa Graham Community members provide the BOMB with concerns from a community perspective. A former BOMB Chair, Staff member and DJ (and UHH alumni!), Kekoa has been With URH from the beginning, tirelessly working to bring the best music to you!

Donnie Maunakea
Community members provide the BOMB with concerns from a community perspective.
Donnie lives and works here, DJ’s for URH, and sings in a band. She has been tirelessly bring great radio to the world for the past 5 years.
URH Staff BOMB Member
El Kellum
The URH GM serves as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the BOMB. He provides a direct link between the BOMB and URH.
