General Manager

The station General Manager is the overall administrator for the station. The GM is the station’s sole representative, chief financial officer, and activities coordinator/overseer. Sam is on call 24/7 for the station’s needs.

Program Director
Aaron Lambert

The Program Director is the supervisor of the DJs. The PD is in charge of making sure policy is followed, organizes the programming, and works with the DJs to assure top quality programming.

Assistant Program Director
Patrick Fleming

The Assistant Program Director assists in the supervision of DJs. The Assistant PD is in charge of reinforcing the policy and leadership of the Program Director and ensuring quality programming and staff management.

 

 

Music Director

The Music Director submits music charts, maintains industry contacts, gathers all the new music, listens to the new music, decides what music is good music, asks the djs to play the good music, and then submits new charts, starting the endless cycle all over again. Kyla rocks!

Assistant Music Director

The Assistant Music Director works with our full-time Music Director by receiving new music and cataloging it for airplay on URH. The first to hear hot new music before anyone else does, the AMD is responsible for shaping the music played on URH.

Business Manager
Richard Francis (Ric)

The Business Manager covers the books for URH and helps us make the best use of our small budget. Georgia, “Roots” ‘o Ka’olu keia, is a Communication major. While at UH Hilo, She’s worked with Ke Kalahea Student Newspaper, was the Editor of Kanilehua Arts & Literary Journal, and Treasurer on UHHSA. She says she is honored to be participating in University Radio Hilo as she completes her degree at UH Hilo.

Technical Director

The Technical Director directs the… technical stuff… and some other stuff too. URH would never make any progress without the TD. Responsible for keeping the music playing, the computers up to date, and employees in the know – technically speaking. We need someone with a strong background in computers and IT for this position. News Director

The News Director is in charge of gathering and reporting campus news and events. The ND makes all the URH PSAs, announcements, and reports news on the local, state, national, and international levels.
